Qualifications
The Ronald Reagan Hospital is seeking to hire a Per Diem Food Service Worker to join the Department of Nutrition. You will be part of a team that provides the best customer service relevant to the retail food service operations in our cafeterias. Primary duties include:
- Set up service lines
- Pre-plate and serve food
- Aid in the preparation of meals
- Cut fruit
- Merchandise food items and maintain the beverage station
- Act as a food runner
- Measure temperatures of hot and cold items
- Wash dishes, pans, utensils, and small equipment
This is a per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. May convert to Career.
Pay range: $26.51 - $26.51 an hour
Qualifications
- Ability to work around or use strong cleaning solutions.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and or wet areas
- Ability to lift, push or pull at least 50lb and push loaded carts weighing 350lbs.
- Basic nutrition production skills including pre-plating of retail foods and assisting with bulk preparation of food.
- Knowledge of portion control and serving procedures.
- Knowledge of retail operations such as station setup, replenishment, merchandising and inventory procedures.
- Able to read, write, and speak standard English.
- Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend, walk, stoop, and reach repetitively.
- Ability to practice safe food handling techniques.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers.
- Ability to work flexible schedule
