Description The Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology is seeking a Lab Assistant 2 to support innovative preclinical oncology research focused on cancer therapeutics, translational cancer biology, and mouse xenograft models. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will play an integral role in advancing research by performing a variety of animal research procedures, including tumor implantation, drug administration, blood and tissue collection, animal health monitoring, and experimental data collection.
Additional responsibilities include supporting colony management, sample processing, data organization, and general laboratory operations. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team in a dynamic academic environment while contributing to studies that advance the understanding and treatment of cancer.
Hourly range: $26.23-$30.93

Required:
Basic unders tanding of biology. Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis. Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc. Skilled at working with spreadsheets, databases, and email. Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed. Ability to keep laboratory space clean, safe and organized. $27.54-33.13 Hourly Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm
