UCLA West Valley Medical Center is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team in an acute care hospital setting. This role supports patients in the Burn Unit and throughout the hospital and offers the opportunity to work within a respected academic health system while making a meaningful impact on patient recovery and independence.
Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist provides age-appropriate occupational therapy services to patients with a wide range of diagnoses in an acute care and burn unit environment. This position is primarily focused on direct patient care and requires flexibility to rotate across clinical areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
- Develop, implement, and update individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide skilled therapy interventions to improve functional performance and patient independence
- Accurately complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and functional goals
- Rotate across assigned clinical areas as departmental needs require
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage
Salary: $53.50 - $68.45 hourly
