The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor oversees the operations and performance of clinical nutrition services within a healthcare setting, combining leadership, management, and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
This role provides direct supervision to dietitians, diet technicians, and/or diet assistants, including managing daily operations, staff scheduling, and unit assignments. The supervisor supports recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts, while assigning responsibilities, monitoring performance, and offering ongoing guidance to support professional growth and a collaborative team environment.
Key responsibilities include evaluating staff performance in alignment with departmental goals, implementing targeted action plans for improvement, and leading regular meetings with registered dietitians (RDs), dietetic technicians (DTRs), and/or patient services teams.
The supervisor actively participates in quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and performance evaluations, and partners with interdisciplinary leadership to develop, update, and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Depending on location and operational needs, this position may also support Patient Services, the Nutrition Lab, Behavioral Health, and/or other specialty or unit-based areas.

Salary Range: $95,400-208,300/year
