The Central Service Technician (CST) supports patient care by ensuring clinical teams across UCLA Health have timely access to medical supplies and equipment. This role supports high‑volume procedural areas by managing inventory, distributing supplies, and maintaining organized, accurate supply locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and deliver case cart supplies and replenish inventory for procedural and ambulatory units
- Manage par levels, monitor supply usage, and adjust inventory to meet changing clinical demand
- Receive, verify, and distribute supplies; reconcile packing slips and resolve discrepancies
- Transport supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs) safely and efficiently
- Restock supply areas, maintain organized storage, and manage assigned supply carts
- Maintain barcode accuracy to support inventory tracking and scanning
- Follow up on vendor shipments to ensure timely delivery of critical supplies
Work Environment This role requires working in fast‑paced procedural settings where accuracy, organization, and efficiency are essential. The CST collaborates closely with clinical staff, supply chain teams, and vendors to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
