Position Summary
The Sleep Technician Trainee develops competency in and performs a variety of sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis of the type and extent of sleep disorders. The Sleep Technician Trainee works under the direct supervision of a sleep technician or technologist, lead technologist in collaboration with the Manager and Medical Director.

Required Qualifications
What It Takes to be Successful
- RPSGT eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire within the clinic.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a direct patient care position
- Medical Board of California Polysomnographic Trainee license within 6 months of
- High school diploma/ GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
- Computer skills appropriate to the job
- Clinical experience
- BLS Required
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience in an accredited sleep center
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of CAAHEP CoA-PSG program
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Associate degree
- 1 year of experience as a sleep technician
