Summary
Supports the organization's sourcing program by leading system-wide contracting activities to support the goals of providing safe and high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates cost containment through contract optimization, product selection and standardization, and utilization practices. Promotes initiatives and contracts for optimal spend coverage.
- Leads strategic contract and pricing negotiations. Serves as key contact for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.
- Analyzes data to improve supply utilization, standardization, and process improvement; evaluates findings and makes recommendations.
- Coordinates meetings with value analysis professionals, administrators, project managers, and leadership. Presents data as necessary.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or relevant field.
- Required Licensure/Certification: None Required. Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience in supply chain management, contracting, procurement or value analysis.
- IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
