Pay: $64.68 - $90.55 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

The IV Room Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily sterile compounding operations to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant preparation of medications. This role serves as the operational and technical expert for USP /, supports staff competency, partners with pharmacy leadership on workflow optimization, and promotes a culture of quality and safety within the cleanroom environment. The IV Room Coordinator will serve as the Designated Person for University of Colorado Hospital.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• State licensure as a Pharmacist.
• 2 years post graduate experience.

Preferences:

• Leadership or coordinator experience preferred.
• Board certified sterile compounding pharmacist (BCSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workflow and staffing in the sterile compounding area, ensuring timely preparation of compounded sterile products (CSPs).
• Ensure all compounding activities comply with USP , USP , state board regulations, and institutional policies.
• Perform and coordinate routine environmental monitoring, certification follow-up, and cleaning/disinfection documentation.
• Lead competency training, annual validations, gloved fingertip/media fill testing, and coaching for pharmacists and technicians working in the cleanroom.
• Serve as the primary resource for sterile compounding questions, quality concerns, and process deviations.
