- Job Summary:** We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will be part of our triage team. This position will be responsible for a high volume of calls daily and responds in a timely manner. Position must actively listen to patients, patient concerns, questions, document accurately and appropriately. Able to appropriately prioritize calls and identify which calls need to escalate to physicians or manager immediately. Understands and acts within scope of practice of which one is license.
- Minimum Qualifications:**
- Valid State of Florida LPN license .
- Three to five years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
- Responsibilities:**
- Assumes responsibility for interviewing the patients to gather information and assign triage priority.
- Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team about patients' statuses.
- Maintains a professional, friendly, and helpful relationship with all patients and co-workers.
- Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
- Stays up-to-date on advancements in emergency medicine and urgent care best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Preferred Skills and Abilities:**
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of patient charting and recordkeeping processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
