What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at UCF Athletics?
UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Athletic Trainer.
Duties:
In an internship type capacity, the selected candidate will assist the Sports Medicine staff in the coordination of day-to-day sports medicine operations for Division I athletic teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes for football and other sports as assigned; preceptor duties within UCF's Athletic Training Education Program, and teaching opportunities within UCF's Athletic Training Education Program.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in athletic training and two years appropriate experience. Possession of or eligibility for NATABOC, CPR/AED-PR, and State of Florida Athletic Training License required. As a UCF Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the UCF Athletics program.
