Position description

The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Department, at UC San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The Department is currently accepting applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) to teach for the upcoming summer session and academic year. All areas of earth, atmospheric, oceanographic and marine biosciences may be considered. We are seeking candidates with mentorship, student-centered pedagogy, and classroom management skills. Positions available are part time, on a Department needs basis.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A candidate must have Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Earth, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Marine Biosciences or related fields, demonstrated knowledge of the "state of the field", and evidence of effective teaching are required.
