- Current California RN license
- BLS Certified.
- PALS Certified.
- ACLS Certified.
- Ability to maintain an efficient work pace appropriate to the workload, supporting high patient volume of the Dermatology providers.
- Organizational skills to establish workload priorities to facilitate multiple functions and deadlines in a timely manner. Including assigned collateral duties.
- Knowledge of clinical and surgical procedures, routine lab and surgical instruments used to administer patient care and testing.
- Adhering to infection control techniques using appropriate PPE. Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique, surgical instrumentation and equipment, preoperative and postoperative patient care as well as follow up for continuity of patient care.
- Experience with computer programs such as Signature, Inform and Enhance, ACTS/RTS, Excel, EMR.
- Demonstrate high level of customer service skills appropriate to the job at all times.
- Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude to assist patients and the family until their needs are met.
- Medical, Cosmetic Dermatologic background, Procedures and Micrographic Surgery work experience.
- Experience with excimer treatments is highly preferred. Aesthetic Lasers and Cosmetic procedures.
- Demonstrated wound care management in an ambulatory setting, Previous experience in OR/recovery. Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends or holidays. Member / Certified Dermatologic Nurses Association ( DNA ).
- Knowledge/experience with QA. Chart and Medication Audit Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to interact on sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- HIPAA compliant and knowledge of Joint Commission standards including Federal and State Health Regulations.
- Clear understanding and adherence to University Policies and Procedures.
- Must be a Team player, able to work independently and collaboratively with all clinic and supporting staff.
- Knowledge/experience of dermatology including surgery, light therapy, lasers, cosmetics, etc. Experience with infusion orders and Medical prior authorizations
- May need to work occasional evenings/weekends.
