Position Summary:
The Recruitment and Admissions, MBA and Specialty Masters Programs unit consists of professional staff who market to, recruit, admit, and yield students into our various MBA and Specialty Masters programs. There are three MBA Programs: Full-Time MBA (program designed for early to mid-level analysts, consultants, managers, etc.), Fully Employed MBA (program for mid-level managers, team leaders, analysts, etc. delivered on nights and weekends with a hybrid option) and Executive MBA (program delivered over weekends for managers, directors and executives with at least 8 years of professional experience including 5 years of managerial experience). There are 4 Specialty Masters Programs: Master of Professional Accountancy, Master of Finance, Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Master of Science in Business Analytics for early career professionals who are seeking technical and practical training for launching their careers. We also partner with the School of Biotechnology on interviewing and admitting Master of Science in Biotechnology Management students. Enrollment numbers and the high quality of the student body are critical to the success of the Merage School of Business.
The SMP Admissions Coordinator is an integral member of the team charged with recruitment, admission, and yield management for the SMP Recruitment and Admissions team. Under supervision of the Programs Director of Recruitment and Admissions for Specialty Masters Programs, and general supervision of other department staff, the Admissions Coordinator has specific responsibility to handle financial support and reimbursements for travel, entertainment and miscellaneous purchases for the Recruitment and Admissions department. The Coordinator works directly with all prospective students throughout the recruitment and admissions process. Responsibilities include coordination of recruitment and admissions events and activities, interacting with prospective students and applicants, managing application files and admissions process. The Coordinator is also responsible for general administrative office support and management, including staffing the front desk and answering main office phone and email inbox. Position requires interpretation and implementation of University and Department admissions policies.

$27.34 - $27.94 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate)
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or comparable education/work experience
Superior interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, staff and outside contacts. Skill in managing time and setting priorities in an environment of frequent interruptions and distractions. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skill in accurately working with highly sensitive information and data. Ability to work as a team player, providing constructive contributions, information and back up to enable effective and efficient delivery of service. Superior ability to work on a variety of projects under minimal supervision and deliver consistent results in a timely manner. Ability to use initiative and discretion in dealing with students and prospective students. Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, factual memos and correspondence. Ability to make independent decisions and take appropriate action. Strong working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access. Familiarity and ease with utilizing a variety of web applications.
Preferred:
Knowledge of University Policies and Procedures, UCI academic and student support services, Academic Senate Rules and Regulations, Family Rights Privacy Act. Knowledge of Merage School policies and MBA program requirements.
Special Conditions Required:
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evenings and weekends as required. Hybrid remote work schedule is available.
