The Junior Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding UC Group’s customer base within the transportation and logistics sector. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a dynamic and evolving industry. While prior industry experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate is driven, confident, and focused on outbound prospecting and client engagement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Actively source and pursue new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and market research
· Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients across various modes of transportation (truckload, LTL, retail LTL, etc.)
· Conduct introductory meetings to assess client needs and present appropriate logistics solutions
· Collaborate with internal teams to prepare customized proposals and pricing strategies
· Track sales activity using CRM software and maintain accurate records of client interactions
· Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for new business
· Provide feedback to sales leadership regarding market trends and customer needs
Skills and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field required
· 0–2 years of experience in a sales or client-facing role (transportation/logistics experience a strong plus)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented
· Comfortable making cold calls and engaging with prospects via phone, email, and in person
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
$40,000 - $50,000 annual salary
