What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compensation Analyst 3 position at UC Davis Health?
Compensation Services manages classification systems as well as the wage and salary programs through collaborating with managers and HR Business Partners. We provide the university with a wide range of services that will enable managers to hire, recognize, and reward employee excellence. Our services include: classification,labor market analysis, salary determination,equity program, stipend program, wage and salary implementation and consultation and training for managers, supervisors and staff.
- Several years of current or recent work experience as operational level Compensation analyst or specialist.
- Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with client groups and team members within other areas of human resources to complete multiple assignments and projects on time.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of compensation, job evaluation theory and practices, law and legislation.
- Demonstrated skills in utilizing a variety of software programs for data and information manipulation, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Human Capital management systems.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to conduct analysis and develop data-based recommendations.
- Knowledge to develop and implement compensation programs for client group and understand how they and other initiatives may impact various areas of HR.
- General knowledge of employment law and other areas of HR.
- Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (e.g., Human Resource Management, Business Administration).
- Experience utilizing PeopleSoft or similar Human Resources Information Systems.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry, higher education, and unionized environment.
- Must be willing to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines and complete projects and assignments.
- Travel between Sacramento and Davis locations as well as to the Office of the President in Oakland as needed.
