What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Assistant position at UC Davis Center for Precision Medicine and Data Sciences?
Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
Experience in cash handling and/or direct customer service.
Experience providing high-quality customer service and support over multiple years.
Experience in an administrative support role.
Experience managing multi-line phone systems with a strong emphasis on customer service.
Typing skills sufficient to use computer keyboard for timely and accurate input and production
Demonstrates, by their actions, the ability to protect highly confidential information and to adhere to patient confidentiality regulations.
Demonstrates, by their actions, at all times, professionalism in written, verbal and non-verbal communications.
Ability to follow oral and written direction and instructions which are presented in a variety of formats.
Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
Displays outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, in all interactions with stakeholders: physicians, staff, vendors, patients, and visitors.
Skills to handle high priority and urgent patient/visitor and staff matters.
Ability to operate electronic fee computer, stock and equip necessary supplies and equipment, and identify malfunctions to communicate information to maintenance staff.
Project a positive and professional image to the patrons of UCDMC parking facilities.
Ability to count money, make change, and perform mathematical calculations to reconcile daily deposits with journal.
Ability to read and understand instructions for electronic cash register or fee computer operation and operate with minimum errors.
Ability to familiarize locations of hospital clinics and departments for information purposes.
Tact and diplomacy in referring irate customers and complaints to Parking Supervisor.
Speak clearly and concisely to be understood by patrons of the hospital.
