What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anatomical Laboratory Support Technician position at UC Davis Center for Precision Medicine and Data Sciences?
- Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
- Ability to listen effectively and to follow directions
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors, peers and other customers/suppliers
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and the general community regarding the use of cadavers and cadaveric materials
- Ability to communicate with mutual respect and consideration for diversity amongst individuals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- To be knowledgeable of arrangement documents and guidelines established for the BDP Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to learn and perform dissections of humans for anatomic study in a skillful and efficient manner Manual dexterity to perform technical duties
- Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to learn to use power tools to prosect cadavers
- To be knowledgeable of arrangement documents and guidelines established for the BDP/ASD
- Demonstrated computer skills to use database, spreadsheet and word programs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Knowledge of appropriate anatomy, biology, and chemistry for embalming, disarticulation and skeletonization procedures.
- Skill in setting priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job duties.
