Head of AML Program Oversight

Your role Are you a financial services industry veteran who enjoys working in a dynamic and diverse environment? Are you able to drive execution of multiple priorities, (both tactical and strategic) with energy and enthusiasm? Do you want to work closely with senior management on maintaining a strong AML/KYC control environment? We’re looking for a Head of AML Program Oversight to: • lead a team of analysts to drive ongoing governance for the US Wealth Management AML Program; host ongoing governance forums, perform change management oversight, and develop and implement effective process controls • oversee regulatory/exam issue management; lead workstreams with first line and second line participation to drive timely and thorough execution of AML-related risk issues from initial identification through closure • critically assess end-to-end AML program; track, research and assess emerging issues, promote culture of continuous process improvement • coordinate changes to AML technology and tools. Track and prioritize technology change requests, support development of business requirements, and resolve roadblocks to implementation as needed • Provide input to strategic change initiatives related to AML requirements; facilitate internal/external stakeholder reporting regarding AML Program changes • direct Quality Assurance (QA) program for first-line business including sample-based testing of key operational processes, error validation, results reporting, and confirming identified errors are remediated within required timeframes Your team You'll be joining our Business AML Organization (BAMLO) team, which focuses on driving strategy, implementation, and oversight for the AML program within the US Wealth Management business. This role is based out of Weehawken. We work collaboratively with our business partners, WM field leadership, and Second Line Compliance partners to ensure that our Financial Advisors serve their clients in accordance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise • 7+ years’ experience in wealth management and KYC/AML and/or a good understanding of operational processes in financial services • Proven success as people manager; define clear deliverables, foster accountability, inspire excellence • Strong data management skills; ability to derive clear and actionable insights from data-based analysis • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to a senior audience. • excellent attention to detail • strong technical skills with Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Visio or Tableau a plus • highly organized with ability to manage team to complete deliverables on time across multiple, evolving business priorities About us UBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
