We're looking for a Technical Architect, WMA Technology CTO to:
actively engage with Streams and Crews to modernize technology landscape, recommend modern tools and technologies, provide architectural guidance on solution design, assess current state and develop target state architectures, generate technical blueprint and design diagrams
partner with application owners and production availability teams to perform architectural reviews, provide architectural guidance towards right set of solutions to stabilize production environments
promote domain driven design approaches across teams in WMA along with C4 diagramming techniques, assist in overall architecture strategy for WMA, identify pockets of opportunities to modernize, innovate, increase efficiency, or improve performance
collaborate with other architects to define architectural goals and standards
manage and maintain requests for comments (RFCs), architectural decision records (ADRs) and risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs)
engage with key stakeholders, Stream and Crew leads and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $150000 to $205000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. You'll be working in the Chief Technology Officer team in Weehawken focusing on architecture, solution design and technology modernization.
Your expertise
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent
ideally 15 years of experience in an architectural role preferably within the finance sector
experience in on-prem/cloud technologies, Event-driven architecture, Containerization strategy, Integration and Network Pattern development, Data federation, Micro-frontend and Microservices, API Strategy, Observability, DevOps, Testing and Deployment strategies
strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels
strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions
experience architecting with modern technology components with a deep understanding of the tech ecosystem
Programming Proficiency: must have Java full stack programming experience (e.g., JavaScript and related Frontend frameworks like React or Angular, Java apps on Spring boot framework, with Postgres Db). Python experience desirable
experience with Data Processing and data pipeline build using Kafka
Cloud and DevOps: Experience deploying scalable applications on cloud platforms like Azure with a thorough understanding of deployment process automation using tools like Gitlab, and Containerization using Docker/Kubernetes for orchestrating microservices
Database Management: experience architecting solutions using relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and optimization techniques
Architecture Frameworks: good understanding of frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman, for architectural thinking
Integration Techniques: proficiency in various integration patterns (e.g., REST, GraphQL, messaging queues)
Security Practices: awareness of security principles, including threat modeling and secure coding practices
familiarity with AI/ML, and Agile methodologies
leading architectural discussions, conducting workshops, and guiding teams through technical challenges
