Role Description
The Patient Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role located in Williamsville. The primary responsibilities of this position include scheduling patient appointments, providing excellent patient support via phone and in-person interactions, verifying insurance details, and using medical terminology to facilitate effective communication. The role also involves maintaining an organized and welcoming medical office environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in appointment scheduling and phone etiquette for effective communication with patients
Experience in insurance verification processes
Understanding of medical terminology and familiarity with a medical office environment
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and healthcare providers
Organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in patient records and schedules
Knowledge of basic computer systems and healthcare software is a plus
Minimum 2-3 years’ customer service experience, preferably in a call center and/or health care setting
