We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Design Manager to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for leading the design and site readiness phases of EV charging projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
What You Will Do
- End-to-End Project Management: Manage projects comprehensively from conceptual design through permitting and utility coordination, strictly maintaining quality, budget, and timelines.
- Vendor & Consultant Management: Conduct RFPs, answer RFIs, level-set proposals, and select architects and engineers for the design of both maintenance depot and charging station projects.
- EV Infrastructure Design: Develop EV charging station designs, ensuring perfect alignment of internal site specifications with utility standards and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams, architects, and engineers to drive efficient project execution and ensure compliance with negotiated agreements.
- Design Reviews: Complete comprehensive design reviews to guarantee the finished product meets all internal operational standards and requirements.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve complex project challenges, ensuring continuous progress and adherence to strict timelines.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Track project milestones and regularly report progress to internal stakeholders, including launch teams and executives.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in design management, design development, or a closely related field.
- Project Track Record: Proven success managing the end-to-end design of heavy civil, site civil, or tenant improvement (TI) projects.
- Technical Systems: Capable of interpreting and applying AC and DC power systems, including transformers, circuit protection, and single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid experience in utility infrastructure and permitting coordination for land development projects.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in design and project management software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Procore, or similar tools.
- Multi-Tasking: Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Advanced Experience: 8 years of experience in design management, design development, or related fields.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Work Style: Self-starter with the ability to thrive and work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary : $150,000 - $185,500
