What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Toddler Teacher position at UB Child Care Center?
We’re looking for a warm, reliable Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our daycare team. You’ll support the lead teacher in a busy toddler classroom, help create a safe, nurturing environment, and assist with daily routines and learning activities.
What you’ll do
- Supervise and engage with toddlers (ages ~18 months–3) in a safe, nurturing environment
- Assist the lead teacher with daily lesson plans, routines, and activities
- Help with diapering/toileting, meal/snack assistance, and nap time support
- Observe and document developmental progress; communicate with parents as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe classroom and follow health & safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA credential
- Some prior experience working in an early childhood classroom preferred
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
