What You'll Do

Develop Skills and Ideas Related for Portfolio Strategy for a $60B AUM Investment Organization:

• Conduct cutting-edge investment analysis using both fundamental and statistical methods
• Research and develop innovative strategies that align with our Trust's risk and return objectives
• Present your ideas to seasoned investment professionals, where you will get feedback and grow as an investment professional  
• Collaborate with top-tier investment organizations worldwide
• Identify and explore exciting private market investment opportunities
• Build a network of industry leaders and gain unparalleled insights

Master Investment Manager Diligence:

·        Develop your own investment themes and ideas while searching for and uncovering the best investment managers

·        Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to support your findings

·        Present your ideas and analysis to key stakeholders, influencing crucial investment decisions

• Develop value-added relationships with institutional quality investment organizations to maximize access to best ideas with goal of enhancing the Trust’s investment strategies and processes in the future

Monitor and Optimize Portfolios:

·        Evaluate portfolio diversification across geographies, sectors, and investment styles

·        Utilize cutting-edge portfolio management systems to track performance and risk

·        Develop innovative monitoring processes to enhance our investment strategies

·        Assists with the development, monitoring, and reporting of portfolio investments

What You Bring to the Table

• Minimum of 3 years of investment experience, preferably in investment management, consulting, and / or other relevant roles

·        A demonstrated passion for continuous learning

·        A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

·        Progress towards CFA/CAIA designation (or a commitment to pursue it)

·        Exceptional analytical and communication skills

·        A self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive with limited supervisory oversight

• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and investment tools

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

·        The physical requirements of this position are typical of office work

·        Some travel to industry conferences and manager offices

·        Some travel between Trust sites (Ann Arbor and Detroit)

Technical Competencies

• Financial modeling (developing integrated and complex financial models), data management, research and analysis of historical financial data
• Asset class experience preferred but not required
