UAS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / INSTRUCTOR (LEVEL III)
Keep the fleet flying, then teach the next crew to do the same. Based on the US East Coast.
This is a senior hands-on maintenance and instructing role across a UAS programme: install, maintain, repair, and pass on what you know. If you are an experienced technician ready to relocate to the US East Coast, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Ground handling, launch and recovery of a Group III platform
• Maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems, subsystems and structures
• Run preventive maintenance and diagnose faults across engines, flight controls and avionics
• Train new technicians to a high operational and safety standard
• Handle emergencies calmly and keep support equipment mission-ready
• Interpret equipment logs and resolve operational problems at the root
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• 7 to 10 years of maintenance or relevant experience, plus 5 years instructing
• Strong diagnostics across engines, flight controls, avionics and system components
• Knowledge of rigging equipment and safe rigging technique
• Valid driver's licence, and comfortable with up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS travel
• A current DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship required), with a path to Top Secret
A BONUS IF YOU HAVE
• Military flight or maintenance experience
• Deployed UAS ISR experience
• Composite, structural and mechanical repair skills
THE HONEST BIT
You will need a DOT physical and to be comfortable with the physical demands of working around aircraft, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working in confined spaces and moving on ladders and stairs. Real work, real responsibility, real programme.
