Position Overview

What You Will Do

Administer hyperbaric treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician.

• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.
• Monitor patients in the chamber and record patient condition. Ensure patient comfort and report any\ unusual occurrences.
• Maintain operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.
• Keep patient treatment records and collect data as required.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Emergency Medical Tech preferred.
• One or more of the following required within twelve (12) months from hire or transfer date:
  • Hyperbaric Tech certification.
  • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
  • Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Alabama Nurse Aide Registry.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
