What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Physical Therapist - PRN position at UAB St. Vincent's?
Position Overview:
- Department: Rehab Services
- Schedule: Work when full-time staff are on PTO and during times of high patient census.
- Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Blount

Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
- Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
- Document treatment interventions given.
- May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart
Association or American Red Cross accepted. Required - Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
