Job Description
To assess nutrition status, develop, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions to achieve medical nutrition therapy goals and desired outcomes, provide nutrition education and counseling, and document all nutrition intervention in the medical record. To precept dietetic interns, participate in quality improvement activities, and participate in multidisciplinary team activities and medical rounds as schedule allows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics or related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. If licensed prior to 12/31/2023 a Bachelor s degree in human nutrition, food and nutrition, dietetics, or food systems management required. If licensed after 01/01/2024 a Master s degree in human nutrition, food and nutrition, dietetics, or nutrition education required. Currently licensed (active or temporary) as a Dietitian with the State of Alabama Board of Examiners for Dietetic/Nutrition Practice required.
