The Manager Client Services of Ambulatory Access Services is responsible for supporting the patients and clinic partners of designated team(s). The Manager Client Services will work collaboratively with the Manager, referring providers, and patients to facilitate ease of access to, and reimbursement for, healthcare services at UAB Medicine. The Manager Client Services will support leadership with the planning and execution of projects or initiatives coordinate and supervise the work of assigned team members, provide customer service or support when and where needed, and serve as an escalation path for handling customer issues. The Manager Client Services will participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge. The Manager Client Services is expected to maintain effective professional relationships with other department leadership, share ideas, and implement actions related to patient access functions. The ability to communicate effectively with all types of people at all levels is critical. This position is expected to provide the leadership needed to promote a teamwork environment.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent and Five (5) years minimum of progressively responsible experience in clinic/business operations, health care management, or call center management.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; previous experience performing and or managing both business and clinical office activities; high-level of creativity and proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel Spreadsheets, E-mail and Internet applications.
