Job Description
To participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing support of software critical to healthcare operations. To maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. To optimize performance to ensure the system effectively supports healthcare operations. To stay current on technological advancements and adapts to new developments. To provide ongoing system support through on-call duties, monitoring, and maintenance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and six (6) years of healthcare application support experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Epic certification in area of support or certification obtained within 12 weeks of completing Epic training with no more than two (2) testing attempts required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads the identification and evaluation of business needs and gathering of requirements for clinical workflows. Partners with others in support of healthcare operations to accomplish team goals.
- Provides advanced troubleshooting skills, visualizations and documentation to analyze and monitor current clinical system functionality as well as evaluate new request of Epic functionality.
- Leads multiple projects of varying complexity and guides their peers in the groups/teams they are a part of to follow change control processes to develop, build, test, and implement planned changes with associated technical and functional documentation of Epic systems.
- Defines system performance criteria and demonstrates extensive knowledge of common industry concepts and practices while guiding the operational practices of clinical applications, mitigating risk related to system operations of Epic systems.
- Guides the investigation of systems enhancements and corrections as well as technical best practices related to Epic system operations.
- Assumes on-call duties as needed to provide user support per the established framework. Develops the procedures and processes to establish a collaborative user support framework which addresses hardware, software, and process issues at all times (24/7). Exhibits excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Leads multiple projects of varying complexity and guides their peers in the groups/teams they are a part of to follow change control processes to develop, build, test, and implement planned changes with associated technical and functional documentation of Epic systems.
- Ensures compliance and security by following policies and regulations. Participates in annual training to maintain knowledge of HIPAA, security, and other applicable regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
