Job Description
Under the direction of the ultrasound imaging manager and attending radiologist, to provide professional diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound for the use and interpretation of ultrasound exams and procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Two routes are accepted: ARDMS: currently registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a student/new graduate eligible to sit for exam with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). ARDMS abdomen or OB/GYN registry required within 12 months of hire into classification. ARRT: currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advanced certification in Sonography (R.T.(S)) required within 12 months of hire into classification. For either route (ARDMS or ARRT), ARDMS Registered Vascular Technology (RVT), ARRT Vascular Sonography (VS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required within 24 months of hire into classification.
