Job Description
Under direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, to provide oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating standards of clinical practice, quality, education and clinical operation. To ensure that patient services are in compliance with nursing care standards as well as state and federal regulations. To manage specific areas within the division of nursing; accountable for strategic, financial, clinical quality, regulatory and compliance success of assigned areas. To establish and implement departmental philosophy, goals, objectives, standards, policies and procedures to achieve efficient, high quality and safe patient care as well as outstanding customer service and an engaged workforce. To maintain 24-hour accountability for department operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and eight (8) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Deep knowledge of evidenced based practice and clinical care delivery models, ability to manage and lead complex services, lead performance improvement work using data analytics, and demonstrated success with leading complex change initiatives and culture transformation strongly preferred.
