Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to develop individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results to inform treatment decisions.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions, injections, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions through effective treatment strategies, including pain management and behavioral health support.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, urgent care, and emergency medicine.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed to advance healthcare practices.
Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks
- Experience with critical care environments including ICU, Level I/II trauma centers
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
- Skills in procedures such as suturing, catheterization, venipuncture, spinal tap
- Familiarity with specialties like gastroenterology, infectious disease care, ophthalmology
- Competence in telehealth practices and home care management
- Strong understanding of patient care principles including triage, discharge planning, case management
- Experience administering botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers for aesthetic purposes
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children and seniors
