The Clinical Informaticist I, under minimal supervision, supports and facilitates the achievement of the UAB organization's vision and strategy for delivery of high reliability Clinical Informatics (CI) services across the continuum of care through the effective performance of diverse advanced administrative, training, testing and knowledge management duties often of a confidential and / or complex nature.
Position Requirements :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Required : Bachelor's degree in Healthcare / Informatics / Business and a minimum of 3 years healthcare experience. May be met with an equivalent combination of education (High School or Associate's degree) AND 7 years of healthcare experience.
Must demonstrate :
1. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite, Learning Management System, Database, and Knowledge Management tools.
2. Display excellent verbal and written skills including composition, proofreading, and editing of documents, for web / electronic content, presentations, reports, etc.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND / OR REGISTRATION :
Required : If has an earned healthcare / clinical degree (i.e. RN, Radiology, etc.), will maintain current State of Alabama licensure commensurate with degree.
Preferred : Certification in Training, Informatics, Quality, Knowledge Management, etc.
