As a Product Security Architect, you will be trusted to lead the design and implementation of secure architectures for medical devices, cloud platforms, and digital ecosystems. This will include driving security strategy across product lifecycles, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, MDR, ISO 13485) and alignment with business objectives. In this role, a typical day will include: Defining and maintaining product security architecture standards and frameworks. Collaborating with R&D, product development, and operations teams to embed security into design and development phases. Performing advanced threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis for complex systems. Developing cryptographic strategies, PKI use cases, and secure key management solutions. Guiding secure coding practices and overseeing penetration testing and security validation activities. Acting as a subject matter expert for regulatory compliance and security certifications. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 5 Years of Relevant Experience Prior experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity controls for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) Experience performing security risk assessments and security testing for full lifecycle of the product development.
