Full-Time Property Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a dependable, experienced Property Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects across a portfolio of properties.
This is a full-time, hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working independently. We are looking for a person who can see what needs to be done, determine the best way to handle it, and get the job completed correctly.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities will vary from day to day and may include:
- General building and property maintenance
- Minor electrical and plumbing repairs
- Carpentry and construction-related repairs
- Door, lock, gate, and hardware repairs
- Painting and property improvements
- Lighting replacement and repair
- Fence and exterior repairs
- Grounds and exterior property maintenance
- Preventative maintenance
- Mowing
- Troubleshooting problems and determining appropriate repairs
- Coordinating with contractors when a project requires outside expertise
- Traveling between properties as needed
This is not a desk job. You will spend most of your time working at properties, completing repairs and improvement projects.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Has strong general maintenance and mechanical skills
- Has experience with construction, property maintenance, farming, trades, or similar hands-on work
- Is comfortable using hand and power tools
- Can troubleshoot problems without needing step-by-step supervision
- Takes pride in doing a job correctly
- Is dependable and able to manage their own workday
- Can communicate clearly about problems, materials needed, and completed work
- Is willing to tackle a wide variety of projects
- Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record
We value experience, common sense, dependability, and work ethic more than any degree or certification.
This could be an excellent position for an experienced maintenance technician, carpenter, tradesperson, construction worker, farmer, property manager, or other mechanically inclined person who enjoys working independently and solving problems.
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the condition of the properties, not simply wait for a list of work orders.
