We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead our operations in Chicago, Illinois. This role carries full responsibility for the overall performance and profitability of the warehouse, encompassing budget control, operational excellence, team leadership, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale warehousing operations and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Core ObjectiveTo be fully responsible for the overall operation and management of the Chicago warehouse, with ultimate accountability for its profitability, budget control, operational performance, team development, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Commercial Performance: Achieve warehouse P&L targets, manage the annual budget, and implement continuous cost-reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Operational Efficiency: Manage and optimize end-to-end workflows to ensure key KPIs are consistently met, including on-time receiving, put-away, and dispatch rates; quality inspection pass rates; and inventory accuracy.

Team Leadership & Development: Oversee all aspects of team management, including task allocation, shift scheduling, training, performance appraisal, and career development planning.

Safety, Compliance & Administration: Act as the primary responsible person for site safety, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable U.S. federal and state labor laws. Manage daily administrative tasks, vendor coordination, and maintain 5S standards throughout the facility.

l Perform any other related duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications & Skills

l Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, preferably within logistics, freight forwarding, 3PL, or e-commerce fulfillment environments.

l Demonstrated success in managing warehouse P&L, budgets, and delivering measurable cost savings and productivity gains.

l Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, WMS systems (e.g., SAP EWM, Manhattan, or similar), and KPI-driven performance management.

l Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse workforce and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

l In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety best practices, and U.S. employment law.

l Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

l Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus to effectively communicate with a multilingual workforce common in U.S. logistics operations.

l Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Chicago area.
