About the Role
We are seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to provide mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and case management support to veterans experiencing homelessness. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team and focuses on trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapy in a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide individual therapy and group counseling using evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)

Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress

Deliver crisis intervention and support clients with acute mental health or substance use needs

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA

Collaborate with VA partners, case managers, and community providers to coordinate care

Support substance use treatment and mental health programming, including group curriculum

Provide referrals and care coordination for housing, employment, and supportive services

Ensure compliance with state licensure standards, Medicaid billing (preferred), and grant requirements

Contribute to a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment for clients

Active LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license (required)

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field

2 years of experience providing mental health therapy and/or substance use treatment

Experience with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, Seeking Safety, Trauma-Informed Care)

Strong skills in crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, and treatment planning

Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical documentation, and electronic health records (EHR)

Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients as needed
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with veterans, military populations, or homeless services

Familiarity with HUD-VASH, VA systems, or community-based behavioral health programs

Experience with Medicaid documentation and billing
