Description:The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of traffic control crews in the field. This position provides leadership and direction to Traffic Control Flaggers, ensuring all work zones meet or exceed US Traffic Control standards and customer expectations. The Field Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers, monitors compliance with company policies, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting of daily activities.Requirements:Operations & Scheduling Oversee daily field operations, including scheduling and assigning work to Traffic Control Flaggers. Ensure all work zones meet US Traffic Control standards and comply with safety and PPE requirements. Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance, address safety concerns, and provide on-site guidance. Ensure all assigned crews understand job expectations, traffic plans, and safety requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects, resolving concerns promptly and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded. Manage end-of-shift procedures, including collection of company vehicle keys and ensuring no unauthorized vehicle use occurs after hours.Reporting & Documentation Keep track of employee hours in assigned location to ensure work receipts are accurate. Billing for everyone working at the assigned location. Complete an accurate daily crew list, weekly observation reports, work receipts, gas and credit card receipts and submit them to the Regional Supervisor for approval in a timely manner. Report equipment needs to Regional Manager and vehicle maintenance to Procurement ensuring completion.Training & Accountability Provide guidance, coaching, and support to field staff to promote safe and efficient work practices. Recommend qualified employees for promotion based on performance and readiness. Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures in all field activities. Issue corrective actions when necessary and report performance issues to the Regional Supervisor. Other job duties as assigned.Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in traffic control industry. A professional certification in the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) preferred. Pass a pre-employment drug screen. Have a valid driver's license, good driving record and qualify as a company driver. Be a minimum of 21 years of age. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Have reliable communication to receive work schedule. Be willing to travel.Physical Requirements: Physical strength and stamina. Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain. Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required. Manual dexterity to operate two-way radios and enter information into tablet PC.
