Team Leader

Job Summary

• We are seeking an energetic and motivated Team Leader to act as a second pair of eyes, with an eye for detail to represent Director in office and onsite. You will lead in the Event Design, Lighting & Draping Department in our event rental organization, inspire and guide our event production team towards achieving outstanding performance and exceptional customer service. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee daily operations, foster a positive team environment, and ensure goals are met through effective leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills while making a meaningful impact on both the team and our valued customers.

Duties

• Lead, motivate, and supervise staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Manage daily operations including opening, closing & inventory control
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge
• Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities
• Handle customer inquiries, attend walk-ins, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive experience
• Monitor sales performance, quality control, pre-production planning, prepare reports, and implement strategies to improve productivity

Requirements

• Proven experience within the event rental and event production industry with a focus on sales supervision
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and foster a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, great communication between departments, work well under pressure, willing and able to work long hours, nights and weekends. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated experience in employee orientation, training & development
• Proficiency in sales operations and inventory control
• Knowledge of math, merchandising, and store management best practices
• Tech savvy, proficient use of Apple and PC products for design, graphic design experience a plus, ability to manage budgets, perform retail math calculations accurately, and handle operational tasks efficiently
• Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time well
• Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
