Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a days position with periodic overtime requirements, working independently with little supervision, safely and efficiently maintain a sanitary food-grade environment to ensure continuous production of end-user consumer product. During off-crop, incumbent may perform laborious maintenance work as necessary.
Functions
75% of the work environment is conducted in a noisy, enclosed, and lighted warehouse environment, continuously climbing on and off equipment; reaching forward or twisting at the waist while seated; looking behind without aid of mirrors; pushing brooms; lifting, carrying, and stacking 50 lbs bags at a height of 5 ft. Will occasionally stand for long periods of time on a hard surface, work from raised platforms, climb stairs and/or ladders, and wear PPE (i.e.: hair/face net, hard hat, goggles, ear plugs, and/or full body chemical resistant suits). Will regularly kneel, crawl, bend, stoop, squat, and reach overhead. Will regularly use bleach and other industrial cleaning solvents.
25% of the work environment is conducted while in an open outdoor environment, exposed to variable/extreme weather, reduced visibility, blowing dust and particles, and moving machinery.

Functions
- Abide by all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and comply with all Company, Local, State and Federal regulations relating to Health, Safety, Operations, etc.
- Successfully participate in and complete all training sessions, safety classes, pre-shift meetings, and/or certifications related to the position.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain the bailer, forklift, yard dog, dump truck, MRS, front-end loader, and automated wrapper as necessary.
- Inspect and clean all product areas before and after loading or packaging to ensure product quality, allowing no trash or other foreign articles to foul the product or production area.
- Learn and implement Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
- Operate touch-screen equipment, computers and monitors, printers, laser scanners, and other supply chain technology.
- Must have positive results from Company-designated tests designed to measure basic skills, job skills, mechanical aptitude and/or other interests, skills and characteristics.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a good work record and disciplinary history.
- Demonstrate physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Applicant must be in good health and physically able to perform all phases of the work.
- Applicant must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in order to comprehend instructions on the job and in the classroom, to communicate via radio, and to ensure personal and co-worker safety on the job.
- New hires must pass a drug test and other pre-employment background screening, and successfully complete any required training or orientation course.
- Obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment.
