- The Product Applications Technical Writer Engineer plays a vital role within the R&D and Engineering teams by transforming complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user‑focused documentation for Premium Connection Tubular Products. This position develops, maintains, and implements high‑quality procedural content—including Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, user guides, and technical requirements—that support both manufacturing operations and product lifecycle activities. The role serves as a critical link between engineering design and operational execution, ensuring that all documentation aligns with design intent, process control needs, and manufacturability standards.
- Responsibilities:
- Adherence to safety and housekeeping practices
- Use of proper PPE and safety equipment as required by job duties
- Divided between projects (50%) and routine daily tasks (50%)
- Creates clear, concise, step-by-step documentation such as SOPs, manuals, work instructions, and product requirements
- Presents weekly reports and updates in the approved template at
- Works in a cross‑functional environment with Engineering, QA, and Operations
- Analyzes and validates tasks by interviewing SMEs, observing work, and breaking it into logical or decision‑based steps
- Manages document lifecycles, including revisions to maintain current versions
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered
- Candidates must be a full-time, current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2026 and be in good academic standing
- Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Advanced technical writing and editing competence
- Ability to organize information logically and translate complex processes into clear step‑by‑step tasks
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, screenshot/annotation tools, and other productivity software
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Experience with EPDM or equivalent document management systems
- High attention to detail with focus on accuracy, precision, and user‑oriented documentation
- Strong critical thinking and complex problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate coherent analyses and ideas to drive improvements
