Position Description
U.S. Soccer is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Audience Insights Senior Coordinator to join our Insights team within the Commercial arm of U.S. Soccer. As Sr. Coordinator, Audience Insights, you’ll partner with every arm of our Commercial organization Consumer Products, Ticketing, Insiders, Content, Partnerships and more to turn raw data into clear, compelling insights that inform business decisions. You’ll be the hands-on support building dashboards, creating reports, forecasting KPIs, writing summaries and crafting visualizations that illuminate fan behaviors, commercial performance and data trends. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, sharp analytical skills, the ability to prioritize multiple projects and a knack for translating numbers into digestible takeaways and strategic recommendations for key stakeholders. The Insights team’s goal is to deepen our understanding of soccer fans and inform the strategy/tactics behind every touchpoint with them (Ticketing, Content, Retail, Insiders, Media, Partner Activations and more).
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze fan engagement and commercial data to generate actionable insights that effectively communicate the “so what” behind the numbers to drive informed business decisions and impactful strategies.
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Qualtrics and Excel to track performance and trends.
- Support the Audience Insights Manager with primary research projects by designing surveys and summarizing results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial teams to align on reporting needs and support-strategic decision-making.
- Create executive-ready summaries and visualizations that translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Business field, STEM, or another analytical field
- 1 – 2 years of experience in roles focused on analytics, business intelligence, and/or audience insights
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, visualizations) and Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with social media measurement platforms (Blinkfire, Meltwater, Emplifi), email analytics (Braze), web analytics platforms (Google Analytics) and with CRM systems like Salesforce
- Demonstratable strategic thinking, consistently sees the big picture, where to go, and how to get there
- Sharp analytical skills, methodologically sound, extreme attention to detail, and an eye for finding the signal within the noise
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and time-management abilities
- Passion for storytelling through data and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced sports environment
- Creative problem-solving mindset and a collaborative “team player” attitude
- General knowledge of soccer
- Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL (or equivalent querying languages like Python or R) for data extraction
- Previous experience and knowledge of data usage in sports and sports business
- Passion for soccer and a solid understanding of the soccer landscape in the United States
