ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working Safe is priority
- Conduct workplace inspections focusing on any potential safety hazards.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met and all areas are maintained in a clean and professional manner.
- Operate the perlite plant according to Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring product demands are met.
- Conduct thorough QC testing of process and finished composite samples. Ensuring product meets quality specifications.
- Enter production receipts and finished code data.
- Support minor maintenance activities with the mill.
- Maintain high level of communication to ensure efficiency and all plant goals are met
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- High school diploma or general education (GED); or equivalent experience.
- 3 years in a process manufacturing environment and strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking skills a must)
- Good attention to quality and detail
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
- Mechanical ability, preferred
- Welding experience; preferred but not required
