What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Heavy Hauler Driver position at U.S. Silica?
The Driver operates company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or products safely within the site or local area, following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Operate dump trucks, flatbeds, or haul trucks within site limits.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Follow safe driving practices and adhere to site speed limits.
- Maintain accurate delivery and mileage logs.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with general yard duties as assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but may be required for higher levels).
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Good driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Basic mechanical aptitude a plus.
