What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) position at U.S Postal Service?
The Brookings Post Office needs Rural Carrier Associates (RCA’s) to carry in Brookings, White, and Aurora SD at ($21.89 per hour). RCA’s are responsible for delivery and collection of mail. This is a part time job; you will most likely work one day a week (7-9 hours) plus any vacation the regular carrier takes during the year. You could be asked to work any day from Monday through Saturday. You may be required to deliver packages on a rotating basis on Sundays and some of the smaller holidays. You will need to provide your own vehicle (will be given an equipment maintenance allowance for mileage). As you gain experience, your hours will increase.
Full time employees in the Post Office have great benefits and pay. For example, a full time carriers pay will max out around $36.00 per hour.
