POSITION PURPOSE
Job description: Full- time M-F -- (Opening availability preferred 7:00-7:30 AM start time, but can change depending on surgical schedule)
We are a patient-focused, fast-paced oral surgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Front Office Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients and referring offices alike.
Position Summary:
The Front Office Coordinator is the face of our practice and plays a vital role in supporting both administrative and clinical functions. The ideal candidate will have dental office experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask in a professional environment. This a full-time role Monday-Friday.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Our oral surgery practice is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to manage a multi-line phone system, schedule patient appointments, process referrals, and complete at least one hour of daily transcription for the surgeons. This role includes greeting patients, coordinating records and insurance information, sending/receiving clinical documents, and supporting general front-office operations as needed per the business. Ideal candidates are organized, professional, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Patient-Centric Attitude: Genuinely serve our patients at every level, enhancing patient satisfaction and increasing office efficiency.
- Positive Impact: Positively influence patients, coworkers, referring offices, and the practice as a whole.
- Educational Background: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
- Experience Preferred: Previous oral surgery, dental, or medical experience is preferred.
- Administrative Skills: Proven administrative experience with a track record of growth or improvement within previous positions.
- Multitasking Ability: Demonstrated ability to multitask and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service Expertise: Experienced with customer service techniques, ensuring a superior patient experience.
- Communication Skills: Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Adaptability: Willingness to take on other duties as assigned and adapt to the evolving needs of the practice.
Previous Experience & Education
- Positive, energetic, and professional attitude with a strong desire to help patients
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer/office software
- Experience in a dental or medical office preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or healthcare coursework is a plus
