Overview
The DSP / Job Coach assists individuals in developing job skills, achieving Individual Worker Program Plan (IWPP) goals, and increasing independence in a structured vocational setting. This role provides direct support, supervision, training, and counseling while serving as a positive role model in conduct, communication, and professionalism.
Hours:
Mondays to Fridays 830a-430p in Quakertown area
Key Responsibilities
* Train and support workers in vocational and production activities
*ability to communicate well in English and have some computer skills for light data entry
* Supervise daily program activities and monitor productivity
* Implement and track IWPP objectives
* Ensure quality control procedures are followed
* Complete required documentation and paperwork
* Provide program input and maintain accurate records
* Promote staff and worker safety at all times
* Deliver direct care, counseling, and personal support
* Assist with activity planning and facilitation
* Support individuals with personal hygiene needs as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or senior citizens preferred, but not required
Ability to foster social and work-related interests among participants
Willingness to provide hands-on support and direct care
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
