The Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for developing and executing the credit union's social media strategy while managing the day-to-day creation and publishing of content across all digital platforms. This individual serves as the primary connection between marketing strategy and frontline content execution ' working closely with Marketing leadership and colleagues to align messaging with organizational goals, while independently producing compelling, on-brand content including copy, graphics, and short-form video.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop/content-create, execute, and manage social media strategy on annual and/or per market basis utilizing input from Branch Managers and AVP Marketing to align with U.S. Eagle's strategic goals in order to competitively elevate the brand in each service area.
- Maintain and manage a forward-looking content calendar across all platforms by utilizing a content management/analytics program.
- Build and integrate automated options and escalation process to provide immediate replies and resolution to member inquiries.
- Use a data-driven approach for monitoring, reporting and maximization of all digital content ranging from website to social media/digital engagements.
- Monitor trends, platform algorithm changes, and competitor activity to inform strategy adjustments.
- Provide regular performance reports to leadership with insights and recommended actions.
- Manage monthly social media budget.
- Collaborate with the Multimedia Specialist for larger campaigns while independently managing day-to-day visual content needs.
- Write, design, schedule, and publish content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, etc.). Produce and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) as appropriate for each platform while ensuring all content reflects the credit union’s voice, values, and compliance requirements.
- Create social-ready graphic assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, consistent with brand standards.

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: Three to five years experience in social media management, content marketing or related strategic marketing role. Proven ability to develop social media strategy and translate into executable content plans. Experience in financial services, credit unions, insurance services, or investment services preferred but not required. Portfolio work requested with submitted resume.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency with all social media platforms.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Splice, and Canva.
- Experience producing and editing short-form video content.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across audiences and platforms.
- Focus on quality control and processes; creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial marketing compliance requirements preferred.
Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, color vision, and ability to focus. Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license and be willing to travel if necessary.
Work Environment: The noise level in the office work environment is typically moderate. This position is required to be onsite at our Osuna location.
