JOB TITLE: RF Technician
Job Summary: As a RF Technician, you will perform advanced RF/Microwave system testing, trouble shooting, and electro-mechanical diagnostics for sub-assemblies and high-level system assemblies. This ideal candidate possesses exceptional troubleshooting skills in RF technology and Analog/Digital circuits, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
· Conduct testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave sub-assemblies and upper-level assemblies according to system specifications.
· Develop test procedures and create documentation, including Data Sheets and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
· Perform evaluation, acceptance, and sell-off testing in compliance with in-house QA standards and government audits.
· Assist in reverse engineering of RF based products and generate schematics from existing circuits.
· Utilize commercial test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, and Oscilloscopes, with proficiency.
· Calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic test equipment and oversee the upkeep of the Environmental Testing Facility assets.
· Maintain and manage the computerized calibration database for IM & TE (Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment) assets.
· Recall IM & TE due for calibration to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
· Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
· Collaborate with engineering team to resolve technical challenges and optimize performance.
Required Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology/Electronics or equivalent
· Extensive experience (7 years) in a fast-paced repair or production environment may be considered in lieu of formal education.
· Proficient in the use of advanced RF test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers Power Meters and Oscilloscopes.
· Experience in developing and documenting test procedures.
· Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with ESD handling protocols and production safety standards.
· Experience with Power Amplifiers and Low Noise Amplifiers.
