Summary
This position is assigned to the Office of Mental Health and provides a wide variety of support functions.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position - applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement - 06/05/2026. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service that has equipped me with the particular knowledge - skills - and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position - and that is typically in or related to the work of this Program Support Assistant at the full performance level (GS-05). Specialized experience includes: Experience with general office duties such as arranging meetings - providing administrative support to a team - composing correspondence - preparation and maintenance of personnel forms. Experience with setting goals and priorities within the organization - administrative policy/procedures - and recurring reports. Experience performing a variety of computerized office duties using electronic mail - desktop publishing - calendar - and several different database programs such as Microsoft Office. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title - duties - month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week. OR - Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business or technical school - junior college - college or university. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR - Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond. You must have an equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education and specialized experience as described above - which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. (Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e. - beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. Duties
- Major duties of this position include but are not limited to: Compiles - prepares - and provides assistance in developing statistical data and special reports - compiling/preparing drafts and finalizing papers and/or similar instructional materials in support of program specialties
- Maintain a database of contact/evaluation requirements - schedules for care plan reviews and ongoing monitoring
- Tracks the provision and use of safety plans
- Establish protocols for incoming data - organizes computerized data sets - and retrieves computerized data
- Supports Operation Save by arranging for supplies and room setup - coordinating training with services and tracking program completions
- Serves as Primary Timekeeper for a T&L - posting schedules and filling in as back-up timekeepers for other T&Ls
- Will be considered the subject matter expert for time and attendance
- Perform office automation duties using such software applications as electronic mail - desktop publishing - calendar - spreadsheets - and database and/or graphics
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm (Subject to change based on the needs of the Agency) Virtual: This is not a virtual position
